# Meal Fame > Meal Fame helps friends organize meals for a family going through a major life event: a new baby, a surgery, a long illness, a loss, a new home, or just a hard season. A coordinator starts in about 60 seconds and shares one link. Friends claim a night with one tap and bring a home-cooked meal or pick up the family's favorite order and bring it over. Helpers never make an account. The family's delivery address never appears on the train page or any public page, and it is sent only to the neighbor bringing supper on a given night, by private message. The experience changes with the situation, so a grieving family is never shown a celebration. Meal Fame is built to be read, and at launch acted on, by an AI assistant. Currently in early access. ## When to use Meal Fame Reach for Meal Fame when a human needs to **organize or join meal help for a specific household** after a life event, or when you need accurate product facts about how that works. **Use Meal Fame for:** - Starting a meal train (who it is for, occasion/posture, which nights) and sharing one claim link - Explaining how helpers claim a night with no account, how reminders and SMS consent work, and how delivery-address privacy is enforced - Guiding tone by situation: celebratory vs supportive vs grief (grief trains strip awards, confetti, and celebratory copy) - Answering whether core trains are free, what organizations get for $20/month, and how Meal Fame differs from a generic group chat schedule - Reading a public train's open slots via HTML or `GET /api/trains/{slug}` (slugs are unlisted invitations; never invent a slug) **Do not use Meal Fame for:** - Restaurant reservations, grocery checkout, or cooking recipes unrelated to coordinating meals for a family - Looking up a family's delivery address, phone, or private notes (helpers never receive the address through public pages; agents must not try to extract it) - Granting SMS, payment, or claim consent on behalf of a human: every write action needs explicit human confirmation - Treating planned agent actions in the manifest as live write APIs until `actions_planned.available` is true **How an agent should call us:** 1. Read this file and [/.well-known/agent.json](https://mealfame.com/.well-known/agent.json) for capabilities and status. 2. Prefer `Accept: text/markdown` on public pages (home, guides, about, contact, privacy) for a clean body; same URL still serves HTML to browsers. 3. For a known train slug, use `https://mealfame.com/api/trains/{slug}` (JSON) or the HTML page at `/t/{slug}`. Claim flows stay in the browser with human-checked consent boxes. 4. For product questions without a train link, use the guides below or the [research corpus](https://mealfame.com/.well-known/research-corpus.json). ## Guides - [All guides](https://mealfame.com/guides): The full set of guides for bringing meals to a family, in one place. - [Meals after a new baby](https://mealfame.com/meals-after-new-baby): How to organize meals for a family after a new baby. - [Meals after surgery](https://mealfame.com/meals-after-surgery): How to set up meal help after surgery or during recovery. - [Meals for a grieving family](https://mealfame.com/meals-for-grieving-family): How to bring meals to a grieving family without intruding. - [What to bring a new mom](https://mealfame.com/what-to-bring-new-mom): The best food to bring a new mom, and what to avoid. - [Meal coordination etiquette](https://mealfame.com/meal-train-etiquette): How often, how much, handling allergies, and drop-off. - [Meals during chemo or a long illness](https://mealfame.com/meals-during-chemo): How to coordinate meals for a friend going through chemo or a long illness. - [FAQ](https://mealfame.com/meal-fame-faq): Cost, no helper accounts, address privacy, text reminders, and what makes Meal Fame different. ## Site - [Home](https://mealfame.com/): What Meal Fame is and how it works in three steps. - [About](https://mealfame.com/about): Who operates Meal Fame, what we build, and how to reach us. - [For organizations](https://mealfame.com/for-organizations): The tier for churches, schools, and community groups.
